    I've joined the orange crowd.
    KTM EXC 300

    Yes that's a 300 2stroke!!!!

Pick it up Thursday when I get the cash for the CR!

    Can't wait!

Might see you lot down the dick turpin, if I can find some decent green
    lanes nearby.
Hang on. I could do a green lane FOF. LOL.

Block book your servicing whilst you're there.

    Welcome to the Orange side.

there's already been a couple of FOFs where we crossed a 30cm-deep
ford[1]. This wasn't a huge problem for me on my CCM, or even on my
RGS - but funny to see people on sportsbikes doing it, mind.

[1] not sure of the actual road no., but runs from the A10 somewhere
near Cold Christmas towards Much Hadham - cracking hump-backed bridge
for TWA action on it too.

There's one on the edge of Radwinter village, which we pass when we do
the Dunmow leg. Christ, I love that road from Saffron Walden to
Thaxted; it's tight and twisty and there' *never* any other traffic on
    it.

In fact, that part of Essex is one of the nicest parts of the English
    countryside, for my money.

is there? I don't recall having done that. The one I'm talking about
is definitely in Herts, and you'd know if you'd done it - it's about
20m wide and pretty deep all the way across, and very slimey on the
bottom - you have to get up some speed and go across it on a neutral
throttle, or the back end slides all over the fucking shop.

Wheren't you on the run on of the the times we did it (about 6-7
    bikes)?
North Essex is actually a surprisingly nice place.

It's one road off the FOF route. We haven't done it - but we should.
I don't think so, but maybe I misremember due to a hangover, or
    something.
I think so. Might move there when I come back.

Of course, I bet there's loads of lanes round your way.

Nah, I'll service it myself. It's only a 2 stroke.

Cool sounds like fun. The KTM will wear Enduro spec tyres that wouldn't even
    last the journey there!

    It has some cracking roads.
I found some nice ones around Braintree, even the dual carrigways are
    twisty.

    Not a problem.

While you have been away our Chief Constable, presumably on orders from
the High Sheriff, has announced the purchase and deployment of 5 new
detector vans. Hopefully the north of the county will now the targeted
and these will deployed somewhere other than Basildon and Eastwood.

  14. that sounds like it might be the B1053 or B1057 - nice roads up that
    end.
