KTM Duke - opinions

Thinking about buying one of the above. Anyone know anything horrible to
look out for on them?

Would've possibly bought one in Colin Collins in Harrow yesterday but 20mins
after 'the salesman will be with you shortly' I thought better of it.
Thought I'd get some 2stroke before I left so I asked if they had any Ipone
2 stroke oil. The sales guy looked at me and laughed - 'what the **** is
that? d'you mean synthetic?' Are all main dealers full of shit?

I work in the bike trade, I've sold all manner of oils for all manner
of bikes. I visit on average 5 bike shops a day and I love 2-stroke
bikes.

In 26 years of riding bikes I have never heard of Ipone 2-stroke oil,
but a google search throws up references to some obscure strawberry
smelling scooter oils of that name.

I'd suggest you pull your head out of your arse if you insist on using
unheard of crap. Dealers stock what people want and what is easily
saleable, and no-one I know wants to buy strawberry flavour 2-stroke
oil.

Regarding the KTM, that's how dealers are when it's busy. I was in CC
Harrow yesterday and it was particularly frantic after the bank holiday
weekend, as a fair few people took advantage of the good weather to go
and buy new bikes. All those bikes have paperwork to be done on and
PDIs/accessory fitting to be booked into the workshop before delivery
to their new owners. Sometimes that takes a little longer than 20
minutes. Anyway, 20 minutes is nothing when you consider how long
you'll be sat at the roadside every week while waiting for a recovery
truck, if you decide to buy a KTM.

It's outdated crap that should have been consigned to the great
scrapheap in the sky many years ago. I'm not all that keen on the smell

Yeah...maybe I was a bt hasty - 3 years in France have maybe made me a
little rusty as to wjat people wnat in th UK.
