If you're not going to use it off-road, then forget it, unless you're
    really into vibrations.

They rock, and anyone who says different's a mincing little pussy.

Oh, hello Krusty. Didn't see you there...

Seriously, if it's the 'motard version, then it kicks ass.

heh. Don't get me wrong, I think they rock too. But I wouldn't want to
commute on one day in, day out, unless the commute was a couple of
miles through town. They'd be *horrible* for my 180 mile commute of
    either motorway or fast A-roads.

It really depends on what your commute entails. 50 miles of motorway
will suit a completely different bike to 5 miles of London during
    rush-hour.

  9. My Duke rocks. Same engine as the 640 LC4 but different suspension in as
much as it has less travel. Still twice that on most sports bikes but less
than the LC4. It goes, handles and stops as well as you could want, has a
proper mud guard up front so you don't get so covered in spray in the rain
and I find it superb for commuting; you just have to watch out for Transit
mirrors with the bars :). It even held it's own quite well on a track day.

As mentioned in some of the other replies I don't think it would be great
for long distance. My Duke is bearable for about 100 miles at 70ish but by
then you're desperately looking for a garage to fill up at anyway.

I agree with the sentiment, but "bend the offroader"?

I've cartwheeled my YZ (I think it actually flew over the top of me)
and all that was broken was the front number plate mounting lug.

    <thinks>

    Lights. Fair point.
