I had no joy with Red, White and Blue Daron, (but that was probably that I didn't make sure it was absolutely
dry) but my cheapo marine-epoxy effort is still holding.
The Kreem job I did back in '87-or-so lasted until after I sold the bike a year later.

    You kreeming your tank?
I like riding my bike too, but that.... :)))

    serious:
To get the petrol out, remove all caps/fuelcock etc. then sit tank in front
of little fan heater (I also used the hairdryer, not recommended :), filler
hole up, for about an hour.
Make sure you stick to the directions on the bottles and at least double the
    drying times/ agitation times/drying times/ agitation times...
    Did a tank of a mate's ex-swiss-army R80 G/S, bloody 38 liter monster,
needed 2 lots of Kreem at any given stage and the thing was H E A V Y.
Took a leisurely 4 days to get it all done, then let it dry for another
    3days before the first fill.
Done a CB400T tank about 7 years ago, still no worries.
The stuff's good, but don't rush it.
    cheers

If the hole is at the lowest part, won't the fuel come out with gravity? Or
    am I missing something?

The hole is in the lowest part but as you can imagine, there is a flat
    section where the hole is
It's like ball in the hole on a flat board game.

Never get the fuel out at the right angle. cos you can't see the swishing

I got one of those heat guns - that'll work if I maintain it pretty low

I seriously contemplated tapping a hole into the lowest portions of the tank (which are NOT where the tap is)
    and fitting drain-screws.
    (It might still be required!)

Just don't leave it to dry (after washing out the etcher) any longer than
specified in the instructions. First time round I decided to leave it dry
overnight. In the morning it had more rusticles inside than the bloody
    Titanic...
