  2. I'm assuming the panniers you have don't fit the rack you have?

Racks for early Krauser panniers crop up very frequently in autojumbles,
and generally sell for bugger all. I've still got loads of those
    slot-together fittings they use.

As for keys, that era Krauser had stamped keys with a sort of U-shaped
channel in the middle of them, and as I found out, are near-impossible
to obtain. I think I've actually got several old ones lurking in my Box
Of Old Keys[1] which I'm willing to post to you, if you want to see
    whether any fit.

Alternatively, you can do what I once did, which is contact a decent
locksmith who adapted a blank for something else.

[1] Amazing how often that comes in useful. My mother *nveer* threw away
any keys, and it's a worthwhile habit to adopt.

Krauser & Givi are the same company. Some Krauser cases are compatible with
Givi racks, which may provide an additional source of hardware.

Locks: the Givi tumblers can be adjusted to suit a particular key. I
imagine the Krauser locks are the same, as they sell their stuff on the
same monokey idea. Of course, those panniers may predate this technology.
That rack looks similar to Givi hardware i.e. a generic rack (the black
bit) which is attached to a particular bike with a fitting kit (the silver
    bits).

If the panniers are compatible with the rack you probably only need to
acquire a bike specific fitting kit, or fabricate one.

<shuffles feet> I didn't think to check - they were free and came
    together.

    What slot together things?

  5. Heh. Well, have a look....
Those steel strips which have dimples that fit into each other: they
brace the rear end of the rack. I can see them in your pic.
