Know any Motorcycle insurers?

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Jason Burton-Woods, Oct 13, 2004.

  1. For NSW. the first three that are reasonably competitive in price are:

    GIO
    Nrma (amazing)
    Western QBE
Swan (quote on available at motorcycle shops)

A quick search through google groups will find threads on these here.

    Hope that Helps

I can believe the insurance companies, but "plenty" of honest politicians?

Not possible in these days of mass marketing.

  7. If you are over 40, try NRMA and ask for veteran & Vintage section, its
about the rider not the bike, I insured a ZX12 for a $450 premium

    Mate did a GSX1000 for $650

never had to claim so don't know what the value is like

I got the same treatment with NRMA. Surprising, considering
    what cunts the NRMA are.

Well, after my off on the Aprilia last week, thought I would re-look
at the insurance sceen for bikes. Here is what I found (30yo rideer)

GIO : $1820 +$350 excess with a 20% NCD (they only offer 20% on bikes)
    SWAN: waiting for reply
    WESTER: waiting
NRMA: $420 +$400 excess. and 65% NCB <-- I bought this policy and will
change IF i find better, they insure me for everything else.

So, NRMA surprised the hell out of me this time around.

You'll be waiting for a long time. They don't do quotes over the phone or the
internet. Ring Swann, ask them who your nearest Swann agent is and contact
    the agent for a quote.
