    Heh.

    I think I've sorted a 10% rise and around 15% bonus this year :)

I'll be doing the ebay thing if I have anything left after Mrs H has
spent it on carpet and bamboo flooring.

  3. Bamboo bloody flooring? Jeez. You're not lviing in a stilt hut, you
    know.

Mind you, anything's possible in Wales.

Temptation is to splurge, but I've got more bikes than I can fit in the
garage anyway, so I think I'll just ush the boat out a bit on our skiing
holiday in February. I've always fancied doing the hang-gliding-on-skis
    thing.

Solid bamboo, like any other solid wood flooring, really.
I know the feeling, but I have an urge to buy a Cinq. Sporting to strip
for track days, as the 75 is starting to get a little too rare to risk
    binning these days.

Some of it will go on doing stuff to the Hongdou - new nosecone /
fairing, NATO paint and some other bits and pieces.

Kin'ell indeed, I got a 0.21% bonus which went towards a case of wine.

Came with a letter saying "As I am sure you will appreciate in the
current challenging financial climate, pay and pay settlements are a
sensitive subject. Organisations have to meet these challenges by
controlling costs, meaning that salary increases across the board are at
    a historic low".

Heh, you'd think I worked for a bank.

Are you putting in search criteria "easy to box up" for transport to Chile ?

    Bamboo flooring rocks.

Compressed into tiles it's durable and eater resistant.

    Pretty cool stuff.

I'd hardly call slapping satin green paint on it 'polishing'..... just
want to make it look a little less dayglow.

'Some', in this case, will be about 50 quid.

  15. I hate you guys. I've just this week identified and fixed a major
error in someone-else's code that had been preventing my colleagues do any
significant work towards simulating the next stage of LHC (a random-
number class instance being "new"ed for every signal, but never "delete"d)

I get no benefit from it except a couple of people saying "Well done."

What the fu*ks a bonus. Never had one in 35 years of working!

Must move in to a less/more pikey industry, pending on your viewpoint.

    Ivan,
You and CERN planning to blow up the world before August? Only I'm
thinking of booking a holiday and need to pay up front. I would hate
to spend the money and then find you lot blew up the world before I
got to enjoy the result of my purchase.
