Literally, in the last few seconds it has started here. Coo, if that
gets heavy it is going to be nasty.

I am tempted to take the cage out and see what I can do to bring chaos
    to the country.

It's only a shower. We are back to fluffy white clouds again over here.

  3. Still sunny here but we do have clouds.
It snowed on Saturday night near Lewes, E.Sussex and got a bit heavy for
a while but it didn't settle and promptly melted after a few minutes.
Do you need the cage for that?

Of course not but it would be the appropriate thing to do.

Plain sailing(1) to Durham this morning, you must be some sort of
southern wuss, it was barely a shower

Left Stockton at 8, took till 10 to get to the A1/A177 junction, and
nothing from there into the centre, took about 5 mins

    (1) For wildly inaccurate definitions of plain sailing

When I was born (mid '50's) the local registrar was an old Army Colonel.
"Place of Birth" on my birth certificate is shown as "546000 201920" (or
something like that - I can't find it at the moment) anyway it's the OS
grid reference of St Margaret's Hospital Epping. The Colonel worked on the
basis that the hospital might not exist by the time I was an adult.

It's caused a few problems over the years when I've had to produce the
    document.

Sounds more like the winter of '47, than '63.

We seem to have our own weather in the West side of Durham here, we had
almost a foot of snow in our garden here, and some of the cars had snow
piled up against their bumpers. Turns out there was a jacknifed lorry up
at Framwellgate, caused a queue back to Crook too.

    Me. Good it was.
My father got to the railway station by walking on the hedge-tops, so he
could get to work. The men from the cottages at the end of the road worked
up such a sweat digging out a pathway through shoulder-high drifts in the
road that they were stripped to the waist.

Aye, was going to go that way till I heard about the wagon - there was
a fair amount of the stuff about over stockton way, but the far side
always seems to get it worse, it's like its own private weather system
    out there.
