Just returned from a couple of weeks in Malaysia. During the road
safety campaign they only killed 200 people in 15 days. Mostly
motorcyclists - who have no inhibitions about overtaking, inside,
ouside, anyside. Lane sharing at 100+kmh is normal, freeways are a bit
dangerous as the minimum speed in traffic is about 80 kmph and the
racers drive at 160-180 kmph weaving though the slow traffic.
Oh, the population is about that of OZ, with an area about that of TAS
(I think but could be wrong)
    Cheers

But the rider numbers are somewhat more (not to mention a lot worse roads,
    licensing and safety regs)

So how are they dying? What's the usual crash?

So they have front number plate "safety" devices as is being suggested here
    as a solution?
