i need some help to identify an item. i cant find any info online.
it looks like an oil cooler for a bike (not sure what kind) says kerker on
the front. at the end of the 2 lines is a unit that says "kooler kontrol"
ill post a small pic if they are allowed in here.

i see kerker made exhaust, but cant find a website.

    They're not.

I believe Kerker is out of business, yes, they made motorcycle exhaust
systems and obviously they also made some other motorcycle accessories.
    Is this something like it?

Kerker was involved in some buy outs and mergers, like with Supertrap.
The oil cooler was made for Kawi Z1 and maybe the Suzuki when they made
their Z1 copy. I don't remember any other bikes that had an easy way to
add an effective cooler. The "kontrol" was a thermostat that was
supposed to allow the engine to heat up faster in cold weather. There's
also some pieces that attached near the oil breather in the back of the
engine that the two lines attached to. Later bikes started to come with
oil coolers. I ran one on my race Z1 but frankly don't think it did that
much because I changed the oil between each race. An oil pan baffle was
good and Mobil 1 came out about that time and I felt that did more good
than the cooler but I don't suppose the cooler hurt anything. A lot of
    builders believed in them.

  4. SOHC Hondas did - a removable gallery plug on (I think) the right hand
side of the engine. And the 750/4 was dry sump with an external oil tank
anyway, which made the job much easier.

    I saw a brand new kit - Lockheed, I think - for a 400 Four at a bike
jumble a year or two back. Wish I'd bought it now. if only for the
    novelty.
