  2. ****'im. If the **** was trying to flog a bike with a dodgy charging
system and trying to pretend it was all ok, then he deserves all he
    gets.

Not your bag, I know, TOG but there was a nice plunger 500 BSA Twin
(Star Twin?) in red. Very unmolested apart from the saddle and pillion
pad which my mate tried to get me to buy. Offered at £2950 which
seemed OK. Pre-unit BSA twins seem to be reaching towards Norton and
    Trimuph twin prices these days...

I only saw one Suzuki 500 twin but didn't notice anything missing. I
can't believe that one was only £50! Perhaps there was more than one
    for sale?

As you say, an enjoyable event.

That's a saxophone, according to Beecham anyway. Trombonists are

*but I'm not saying what type, although I once had to wake up the
landlord of the Corrie Tap in Clifton at 1030AM, to get a pint for a
bone player in a horn section (him with a hangover and recordings
    to make)...

I'm sure that was Bennett Cerf discussing the oboe.

  12. Alloy head/cylinder is the kind of thing that can be swapped... as for
engine/fram numbers, that's why you need an expert, as I for one would have
no idea which ones were likely to be genuine - although the info may well be
    online somewhere.
