Saturday sees the last KP autojumble of the year - always a busy one,
    unless it pisses down.

It's only three weeks since the last one, which resulted in me phoning
Timo and telling him there was another XL250S Motosport up for grabs.
Frantic screams came out of the handset, which was then passed to the
seller, and of course the silly sod bought it. Or rather, I bought it
    for him.

I remind you that this is the man who said he deliberately wasn't going
to go because he knew he'd spend money if he did. KP gets you like
    that.

Anyway, it's always a damn good day out, and there really are some
bargains to be had. I picked up a brand new pair of aftermarket cans
for my XS650 for £65 last time. Mind you, I also paused by the
Aeroplane Man (he flogs all sorts of ex-RAF bits and bobs, and on one
memorable occasion tried to sell me an ejector seat) because he had a
drop tank from an old F86 Sabre.

I know, I know. It had a sign on it saying "Would make good sidecar
body", and for a moment I paused and thought; "Hmmm, it would, too...
And there's a geezer over there with a sidecar chassis for sale...."

And then I got a grip. God knows what The Doctor would have said if I'd
come back with a drop tank. I loved the seller's logic, though. "I've
wound up owning a drop tank! I know, I'll take it to Kempton. Some
nutter there is bound to buy it."

So if anyone's not get anything better to do, see you there? KP is
between Hampton Court and Sunbury, SW edge of London.

Don't you know that my mission in life is to buy bikes that you vaguely
describe over the phone from Kempton while the seller is assuring you
that the bike is in "perfect running order" which of course means that
it'll need a full restoration jobbie about five minutes after I get my
    hands on it?

Oh, and the promised pic of the Motosport hasn't materialised so far...
Indeed. Unfortunately he also gave you slightly vague instructions to
phone him if you came across some Motosport bits...
I guess I better make sure that my mobile is turned off on Saturday
    then...

Ah yes, the pic. Trouble is it's been dark when I leave home and dark
    when I get back.

I'll sort one out this Saturday.

Fair enough. I'll have to clear up the garage on Sunday so I get anugh
space in there to stuff in another bike and will try to pick it up the
following weekend, once I've sorted out a new battery for the Range
    Rover.

That has already been discussed, I think now they are looking for a
    warehouse.
