    hi there all,
i have recently bought some of these carbs to fit a suzuki bandit 1200, the
fitment is gsxr1100 so they should go on, thing is the intake rubbers on the
bandit motor are too small, are the stock gsxr1100 rubbers larger internally
    than the bandit ones??.
also if anyone has any jetting advice for these,or testimonials. infact
    whatever info you can give.
i have another set to sell.brand newin the box, the same fitment.
but until i know the fitment and can be sure whats got to be done to fit em,
    i cant.

    any replies appreciated

  2. When I've finished unwrapping my Christmas prezzies I'll go
out and measure up my GSXR1100L rubbers.

  3. Mine's a GSXR1100L, 1990, oilcooled,
with 36mm crabs and screw/locknut tappets.

The carbs are 42mm OD, the outer pairs are ~78mm spacing,
    the centre two ~89mm.

Given that various gixxers of that era had 36, 38 or 40mm
carbs, you should find some rubbers to fit.

thanks for taking the time to look.

best i get me rs down to the suzuki dealer saturday with one of the screw in
carb outlets so i can see which ones will do me best.
ive looked into how much kawasaki ones are b4 so dont think will have much
change from about £60 for the set.
have been told that i may neeed to modify the inlet valves to use these
    carbs aswell,plus a 1216 cc big bore.
the gsxr1100 head should be the same as bandit?,if i went ahead wiv this,
would getting the cam timing be as simple as just looking in the haynes, or
would someone in the know have to do this.
what sort of power gains can be expected.
    free flowing pipes,dyna 2000 ignition,dyna coils/leads/ keihin fcr's,big
bore and gsxr head wiv cams?
im sorry im full of questions but its quite hrd to find people who can give
    info about this sorta stuff.
ive tried emailing the tuning shops in the country but they dont seem to
bother replying.or are very limited in giving info.
the bike all this gubbins is goin on is a hardtail chop.
hopefully should be in BSH or 100%biker next year.
    have piccys if anyones interested.

It would be nice if you could take the time to look here:

There you will find out how we post here - and why.

    Cheers.

You would be better off finding a good independent Suzuki dealer with
a knowledgeable parts man. Tell him the diameters required at head
and carb and see if he can come up with rubbers to suit.

I guess you are doing this because you want to fit GSXR carbs to a
Bandit head to which you intend to fit GSXR cams. I've known people
fit GSXR cams and up-jet the Bandit carbs ... but you'd find it easier
fitting a GSXR engine complete, wouldn't you?

GSXR cams give loads of top-end power when fitted to a Bandit lump,
but at the expense of all that lovely low-down torque and grunt that
the Bandit motor is famous for.
    You might want to join the Suzuki UK Bandit Owners Group (SUKBOG);
    look here: http://www.sukbog.co.uk/faq.html

Someone there is bound to have done this before, or knows someone who
    has.
