Wow, that weld sucks arse, huge porosity at the weld interface.

 

Presumably the quality of a weld can only be tested either by loading it (to
failure?) , cutting through it for a visual inspection , or by using
ultrasonics/x-ray so there isn't going to be an easy way for a dealer to
test if a bike is safe or not?
Can you really do a recall and replace the whol frame?

That's going to cost them *loads*. And that's without any litigation (of
which I'm sure there will be a fair bit, if the Merkins run true to form).

It's one bike. I would have thought it's when there are more reports of
this that you would want to be concerned.

 

Lozzo might want to pass that on to his friend in Suzuki marketing.. suspect
they might want to know...

 

Well let's see if there's a recall. Admittedly that may be an
exception, but bloody 'ell. I wouldn't want it to fall apart whilst I
was riding it. Not that I'd get up to 100mph anyway.

I don't think I've ever taken my 'blade out for a run and not exceeded
100mph by quite a margin.

 

If it was me I'd be wrapping several layers of duct tape around the
headstock frame weld, just in case
