Just tried the motogp pay per view

  1. In case anyone was wondering how it would perform...only cost Euro$3 (E$15
    for rest of season)

Not bad at all, ran fine in high bandwidth mode on my 512K adsl from iiNet.

Full screen gets a little blocky, you can still read the on-screen graphics
okay and the bikes are fine to watch... overall I'm using this from now.

Great substitute for those with Foxtel !!

Could you post the URL again ? I've finally bitten the bullet and
signed up for a 512K broadband connection (hopefully get it in the
next day or two), but I'm stuffed if I'm forking out $80 a month to
Foxtel to watch about 12hrs of bike racing a month, for a what 5 month
    season.

If you stick it in less than full screen is it reasonably smooth ?
    What's the interface /videofeed type ?

  4. Hi guys,

    The url is www.motogp.com

Look in the left hand frame for subscribe, it'll guide you from there.

I used windows media player (WMP) only because I didnt have Realplayer
installed, with WMP you cant size the screen except from using the small
4x4 inch squre to Full Screen mode... full screen ran nicely though.

Thing is I think RealPlayer allows dynamic resizing, but I'm not sure if
    it'll let you record...

    Its all good !!

Interesting how you say that with a 512Kb sec ADSL that it runs almost
smooth, I have cable that runs between 4.5 & 7Mb sec, Will that make much
    difference?

I pay $48 a month for Austar. Of course, that gets me the History,
Discovery, National Geographic, some news channels, as well as
    "entertainment" channels.

But then, Channel Ten costs nothing....
It'd be interesting to see this. I've got Netspace 512k adsl, and I
experience slow media player performance from sites where people post
links of their videos (that one of Nev.. hooning through traffic is one
that doesn't play smoothly at first).
