"Swanning" being the keyword here. 'kin awful it was, especially when
wobbling about on a Pan Euro that you've just bought. Brrr.

And now, to fit all the bikes into a single garage...

With the full deflector kit, above 30mph you should stay fairly dry!
ABS/TCS - this is the perfect weather to get to know them. Head for
Scotland or the lake district and have a short 1000 mile test ride Young
    Timo.
Why? It's built for riding, not storing.

  3. I *have* managed to get six in mine. There are five in there atm,
because I've got all my autojumbling boxes in there too.

I've got four in mine at the moment and have held five or so in the
    past.

I've also got benches on both sides so it's not that well spaced out.
Oh and a lawnmower. Fucking thing takes up all the space...

I get four of mine (and, from time to time, one of somebody else's) in
one half of a double garage.

A really rather damp Mr Eaton turned up on my doorstep this morning,
and he'd only come about 12 miles.

Ah yes, that would've been roughly the distance it took me to discover
that the supposedly waterproof Sidi Black Rains aren't any
more. Unfortunately that was about half the distance home so by the
time I got there I had a nice aquarium in them. Of course they appear
to be pretty waterproof when it comes to getting the water *out*
again. Much like the Heinz Gerkhin Stoker gloves, actually...

Time to check if the Pseudo-Lurch boots are as waterproof as they're
    supposed to be...

That was the inital plan, but it didn't work out this w/e...
But that's no excuse to leave it outside in the rain if you're not
riding it. And yes, I got all the bikes into the garage without
removing all the other crap in there.

Well, I got them all in there. They just about fit - I seem to
remember your garage being slightly bigger than mine, plus I've got
all the workshop crap *and* some furniture in there.

I think part of that furniture wants to move into the loft, it does.

Surely when you get a new bike, you just pop in home for a cup of tea
and a thermos, then head off to make your way in the bike wide world?

    Works for me.

Usually yes, but not if you were planning to pick up an enlarger[1]
recently bought on ebay and have just discovered that you don't have
enough horizontal free space to put it *anywhere* in the house.

    [1] Leitz V35 colour & B&W. The daddy of 35mm enlargers.

A Mini Cooper, 4 RDs, a small workbench and a Snap-On chest is the
tightest I've ever packed a garage. One of the RDs was on top of the
bench and you had to climb over the bikes or car to get to the
    toolchest.

I saw a Pan on a trailer on the docks at Calais, looked like it had been
used for ram-raiding a brick factory. I didn't think Pans were supposed
to crash. Nice Corbin seat on it.
This one would have fit in a tea chest.

You should've asked them if they still needed the seat...
That'll be the new compact model, designed to fit smaller garages.

I have a slightly longer garage, VW camper and a half, but can fit 7
(maybe eight at the last count) unfaired but biggish bikes. As well as
two large benches, lockers, dexion shelving, compressor, more crap, and a
full three piece roll cab tool chest.
