Finding them's easy - it's knowing how hard to bite them that's the
    tricky bit.

Not at the moment - thinking about it though. I'm about to embark on a
project that'll take up most of my free time for the next few months,
    namely restoring the 'vette.

So while you're here, one job that definitely needs doing is a full
interior re-trim. It currently consists of mouldy fabric, which I'd
like to replace with cream leather. Is this something I can do myself
without lots of expensive tools & a sewing machine? If so, where the
hell does one get the leather from? Alternatively, is it something
you'd want to do for a suitable fee?

If the answer to all of the above is 'not a fucking chance', can you
recommend anywhere? I'm not after show quality (or even close), just
something that looks ok & will last a few years of very light use.

Sorry I can't help, but I've got nowhere to do it, no machine and very
little time. Andy's done a few Vettes now.

I thought you said before (earlier this year) there was nobody you'd be
happy to recommend in the retrimming business? Must be on a commission
    now ;)

No problemo - I know how shagging 20 year olds takes it out of you.

Maybe I'd have got a different answer if I'd said I wanted a concours
job. Most of the budgets going on the new engine & suspension, so I'm
not really fussed about the interior. Anything's gotta be better than
    mould...

That's pretty much the score. I know Andy can easily do what you
require, but I wouldn't recommend him for a concours retrim. He does
good work but he's not up there with some of the ex-Aston Martin or
Rolls Royce trimmers I know, and his prices reflect that.

Not anymore, but I was seeing a 22 year old in the early part of last
year. Current one's same age as me.

Have you found younger women more demanding? or that women tail off with
age? fucking sure it's not my experience.

I've been out with 2 who were 17 years younger since getting divorced &
the only benefit was the 'trophy burd' status. I'm over that particular
mid-life crisis now though, & older women win hands down in every other
respect, *especially* the one I suspect you're alluding to!

I don't know you. You don't know me. I wasn't alluding to anyone
    therefor!
Trophy status is when you have the gorgeous daughter curled around you
on the pillion pad and the yummy mummy riding out front on her bike.

Lozzo will be along in a minute to tell us he's done the daughter,
    mother and grandmother.
BGN will follow him with tales of doing the father followed by the son

By "the one", I meant the aspect of a relationship, not a particular
    person ytc.
But only when riding a Triumph, yes?
