  1. And yet, in all that time you've never learned how to post. Congrats on
the bottom posting, that's a step forward.

Care to expand on what you mean by "never learned how to post"?

Or am I talking to someone with a fetish for how posts should look?
In which case don't let me get in the way of you whipping someone
using OE who's still making you foam at the mouth with their top
    posting....

  7. Inability to snip irrelevant content would be a good start. Lack of a
sigsep for a second; general sloppy and shoddy appearance by the lack of
capitalisation and punctuation on short sentences. I know, I know, too
much texting and irc can lead to that, but standards must be maintained
and the beatings will continue until standards rise again.
I really don't give a damn about what Holy Newsreader is the object of
someone's faith - they all do a better job than writing the info on the
toilet wall, as I'm sure you've discovered.

Top posters, however, are the scum of the earth and should be taken out
    and given a severe drubbing.

I was busy and the thread wasn't all that long. Kill file me or deal
    with the fact a lot of people don't... I get moaned at when I do;
moaned at when I don't. Given you can't please everyone with a chip
on their shoulder why bother trying?
I've never felt the urge to use sig's
I was being lazy; guilty as charged gov.
Neither something I do to be honest. Rattling out several posts while
waiting for something to finish does encourage sloppiness but its mild
compared to the quality standard set across the whole of usenet.
You are using a different usenet from everyone else in the world eh?
Keep living in hope for that better world.
perhaps in alt.grumpy.old.guys but not in most news groups....
You are really starting to remind me of an old English teacher I once
knew who ended up hitting the bottle.
    Love of sheds, check.
Hatred of anyone mangling the beautiful language.
Lack of tolerance for anyone not meeting your self imposed high
    standards, check.

I think I'll bow out now before the rest of the decline takes hold as
if you keep reading posts then top posting will get you before to
long... And that won't be nice to see; bits of brain splattered over
    your keyboard...
If I do get a sig does it need to be offensive and unfunny or is that
just your own style showing through?

No I picked up on it; I just couldn't resist the urge to try out a new
way to get Mr C's back up. I'll now return to my old hobby of trying
to educate Doug over in uk.transport.

Oh, *that* breed of sheep. There are others you know, and that's before
we come the four legged ones I was (fruitlessly) attempting to make a
    joke about.

Er, that should have read......'four legged ones about which I was
(fruitlessly) attempting to make a joke.'

    Best wishes all,
Dave - trying to cater for the better educated members here. :)
