Sounds pretty threatening to me.

Was anyone else from here around some years back on rc.skiing.alpine?
That was quite a famous case, where newsgroup squabbles such as this
spilled over into RL, with one participant claiming he'd carry a gun
when skiing in case he encountered the other, and employers being
mailed, jobs being lost, etc. etc.

In the end it went to court, with one party significantly lighter of
pocket and with a high court injunction (or whatever they call it) to
not post to usenet for a year.
