We got a fine notification through for one of our heaps, and sent off a cheque for £25. Cheque was returned to us with a note 'case closed'. Klaatu fascinated us all by saying... It's all on DVLA's database. I bought the bike after the tax had expired, and never had to renew it because the bike hasn't been roadworthy[1]. DVLA wrote to me and said that the tax had run out on 30-4-03 and as I hadn't renewed by now, I should have SORNd it. They told me I have til the 19th to pay 25 quid, or the fine increases to 45 quid. Bunch of cunts.
