The reason I want to get out of it is that I suffer from anxiety attacks
and also have anaphylaxis reactions to even just the hint of nuts,
either in the air or in anything I come in to contact with.
Circumstances where I have no control over where I am or what others do
around me are not helpful to my health.

 

Why didn't you say that in the FIRST place, you nitwit. Or did you want to
have everyone pile in, and then get self justifying? Those grounds, if you
get a letter from your quack, will almost certainly get you excused.

I wasn't expecting such a vicious response from the odd **** that
frequents this group.

I just wondered if there was an easier way given how unhelpful my GP has
been in the past, e.g. "oh don't be silly nobody can die from the smell
of nuts. go and read a book on the subject" ... "what, like this one
that has details of a load of medical trials proving the severity of the
allergy in a few people such as myself?".
