I'm going to be doing next to bugger all for the next week until I get
my medical, then naff all again until I get my licence back after having
LGV provisional put on then it's down to Sussex for my HGV training.

 

I should add that the statement up there has bugger all to do with Judge
Judy and everything about getting a job so I *can* get out more.

 

Look, you of all people should appreciate what being stuck indoors is
like and if you can't then you've got an even shorter memory than me.

 

Can someone tell me who Judge Judy is please?

Some merkin daytime TV thing: morons who can't afford to go to a
proper court agree to have their cases heard by said 'Judge' judy.

Fair point, well made. ATM I have put all the wheels in motion (no pun
intended) to doing this HGV thing. I've got the medical next week, I
have to send my licence off to get lorry entitlement and then go for an
assessment and the lessons. It's one of those "can't go any faster than
the machine, Guv" type situations. I really want it to be now but I have
to wait and waiting's a pain.

I'm into the second chapter of the DSA's Goods vehicle syllabus at the
mo. I can take in and absorb all that stuff but need to take regular
breaks. Being a new thing to learn I'm soaking all that stuff in but
don't want to get bored with it at the same time.

The Judge Judy thing was my (not very good, it seems) idea of being
ironic. You see, she is dealing with the sort of people that watch that
stuff, including me, and I'm thinking how can these people be so dumb,
but I'm sitting there watching it, which makes me as dumb, if not more,
than them.

do with usage stats.

That's the difference. I mean I see it as entertainment, it isn't "real
life" and only a TV show.
