Anyone been to Jerez for the MotoGP? Whats the access times to the circuit
car parks like on practice and race days (Travelling by car from the south
probably) Also any recommended hotels somewhere nearish to the circuit would
be a help as all I've come up with so far is a complex in Cadiz!

    TIA ... John

    JC (Spam Trap) asks:
Access is sorta sucky but not terrible. Go early, bring a cooler,
    stay late.

We stayed in San Lucar on the Guadalquivir river, 45
minutes away if there is zero traffic. Race day was
1.5 hours or so but I got there way early as I had
paddock passes and a place to hang. Neat little
town and much quieter than Jerez. If you're
interested I can dig up the name of the place we
stayed. The Plaza del Cabildo in the center of San Lucar
has a very popular tapas place, I recommend it. This
is sherry central too - you'll have to visit at least one
bodega and taste. The beach is most excellent as
are the high school girls that come to show off their
new equipment. If the little green kiosk at the east
end of Plaza del Cabildo is still there, tell the old
guy inside that Mark is nine now and still remembers
    the candy.

If you stay in Jerez, the track is only 15 minutes if
    you avoid traffic hours.

    Go fast. Take chances.

it's a real mess. you can get trapped for 3 hours in motogp traffic. the
smart choice: stick it out for the party afterwards for several hours...
it's quite the experience, not all of it good...
