    Halla says...
The Iain M Banks books being Sci-Fi, as I understand it?

I'll avoid those, I rate that genre of literature as about as
    interesting as heavy metal 'music'.

One of the first cats I owned was called Henry. Perfectly good name.
    What's wrong with it?

  3. Yes. Not his best. And in the 'unsettling first novels' category John
Fowles The Collector wins that particular award.

not entirely. Or rather, some of the non-M bikes are also a little
    SF-like.

Dead Air was quite good. Complicity was also.

I thought Whit had shades of Orwell's "A Clergyman's daughter" in it.

The Bridge I didn't really get on with.

The Business I liked but to be honest only because of the ideas in it.
It wasn't as good as his normal stuff.

I wish the lazy bugger would write something else really 'cos I've read
    all of the 'non-M' stuff.

Hmmm. Henry, Sabre, Samuel, Nutmeg, Bart, Boris, Sylvester,
    Pipi+Titi[1], Minkie, Rocket, Lucy.

So more than 50% of mine have been. And why not? After all, cats _are_
    people too.

Surely it's funnier when people have animal names?

Mind you I do have brain enough for medical science to not have to
invent new machines to find it. Dunno if there is a connection though.

    Likewise.

[1] Named after one of Cheryls childhood toys. Apparently.
[2] Not our choice - that's the name she came with.
