I have no problem with that. IF the family member is doing the job
they're employed for, and if they're being paid an appropriate rate.

Then, of course, there's the several couples where both spouses are MPs.

I did feel that your lot were taking the piss a bit more than was
    acceptable...

Although they claim that although they do not take their seats in the
chamber that doesn't mean that they can't be at Westminster working for
    their constituents...

I think caring for constituents and making the right decisions in
parliament are completely separate issues, and often contradictory.
The latter, IMHO, is what matters.

Still crap production values though. The voiceover at the end sounded
like it was recorded on the bog.

I'm strategic - you'll have to sort out the details yourself.

They do exist - I sometimes feel that they are fewer in number than they
once were, perhaps because the improved allowances means that fewer of
the independently wealthy are in the house?

If you are a wage slave, you're more likely to do what the boss (whip)
    tells you to do?

Perhaps we should go back to the old days of paying nothing to MP's?

In fairness, they did turn up, so they could use their offices in
Westminster. They just didn't turn up in the chamber.

Separate issues I'll agree, however I doubt that they would often be
    contradictory.

    Examples would help me!

I don't think it's backdoor at all. It's what's been agreed over the
Them's the rules. I'm sure you wouldn't turn down a deal like that?

A very unsatisfactory bite young darsers. I'm used to a much more
extreme reaction from Sis-in-laws folks who live in the Nort.

MEP and EU Commissioner expenses would be an even bigger playing field I
    bet.

Lets face it, the EU as it has become needs tearing down. Replaced with
    something fit for porpoises.
