A lightweight bit of lily livered fluff.

I'm a bit torn here. What I prefer is for a proper judicially led,
independent enquiry to weed out all the dishonest cunts *before*
Cameron gets his election and tries to sweep it all under the carpet
as 'lessons learned' etc, then continues on the Thatcherite/Blair
legacy for another term or two.

Trouble is, Brown and his entire entourage are fucked, quite
incapable of continuing, and I wouldn't trust them to organize
a piss-up in a brewery, let alone organize and then submit
    themselves to an independent enquiry.

I just bought the Nikon one. It's fairly slow, aperature wise, but it's a
stop gap until I can justify the price for the 70-200 f/2.8.

It's my first lens with VR and the quiet AF mechanism. I'm fair shocked
    by both.

Having an effective 450mm is nice though.

Yes, I've just noticed that the Canon one I quoted earlier (the IS
one) is an EF lens, so it'll be an effective 480mm on my 400d.

Ohhh, that looks nice. Shame Jessops don't do them, I could nip in there
    now and get one.

You can look at things and see whats broken.
You can evolve ways to make things work.

plus, it'd be funny to see him spit his teeth across into the
    opposition benches.

No they don't, but I've just found it at LCE which I do have. £8 more
than the link you posted, but at least I can go see it, try it and support
my local store who are run by a good couple of guys.

I think my remark was quite clearly tongue in cheek
So they agree with you on issues?
Sterilizing people with an IQ under 100 would be a start

Depends on when you bought it. Prices have gone up across the board in
the past 6 months or so. The Nikon 70-300 is now around £400.

They're worth watching though. When I bought the body, they were the
cheapest, plus I got cashback through quidco (my first ever use of it) and
I was able to reserve it, wander into the store and pick it up.

Yes, I bought my Sigma 10-20mm lens in that manner and got the
    cashback.

That's a good way to eventually end up with a population of zero if you
actually stop and think about it.

Err, no. It's not. Well not unless you keep redefining the baseline,
    of course.

So it will help on the Global Warming front too.

    Cool.

My thoughts exactly. Massive reduction in CO2 production.

And by targeting people of under IQ100 we immediately sterilize all of
those who believe the CO2 (pseudo)science is rigorous to accepted
    research standards.

    Denied! Not stocked locally.

Ho hum, I'll just have to buy the thing blind. It looks so much better
    than the Lowepro stuff.

How do you like that lens? I've been thinking about it to fill that gap,
now that the cropped sensor has pushed my 24 out of the wide category.

So far so good. Only time I used it in anger so far was in the Lakes
the weekend before last and it's turned out some pretty decent photos.
Particularly for my ability level. Certainly wide enough to get good
    vistas in.

I bought it because the stock 18-55 just didn't get enough in shot for
me when I was in the Highlands last year.
