  6. Hmmmm! First win. 45 quid. How long has lotto been going? How much
do you spend a week? How much have you spent over the years to win 45
quid? I win 50 quid twice a week, by never buying lotto tickets :)

  13. So what part of not spending 50 quid meaning I'm 50 quid better off
    don't you understand?

  17. (Groan!) By not squandering said amount of money on the 1 in several
million chance of winning. You will notice, if you read between the
lines of my actual words, the clear implication that I do not spend 50
quid *twice* a week - that is on both the regular lottery draws in this
country. It was always my assumption that my teachers were correct when
they told me that twice 50 makes 100, but modern maths may well have
come to another conclusion, perhaps you can enlighten me.

Because he'd definitely have the 50 quid, if that's how much he spent on
lottery tickets in a week, by not spending them on lottery tickets. You'd
actually have to spend 10 million on them to win 10 million by not spending
    10 million.

    All perfectly logical.
