    I'll get my goat.

Arial used Burman boxes to the end. The Leader and the Arrow had
gearbox internals supplied by Burman, and it was Burman stopping
supply to bike companies that finally killed them. The Mk II
square 4 was claimed at 42HP. I have never come across figures
for the blown four, there was one but like the AJS it never ran
for long, the head gasket kept blowing.

  6. Mine weren't that bad actually.

My Dad had a Panther solo and a Brough Superior SS100 as a lad.

He sold his Brough to by Mum's engagement ring. Now that's love for you!

I went to Brownhill Road Primary and when it shut down went to Plassy
Road in Catford. Then to Sedgehill.

  10. Also, the cranks used to flex badly, resulting in edge-wear on the big
    pinions of their coupling arrangement.

What? I have a friend in that very same street. He's lived there all his
life, 60-ish years. You don't remember a lunatic with a BSA sidecar? I
think he then when to a BMW R-something-or-other, then a 1000cc wing. I
suppose it all depends how long since you left the delights of SE6.

    [FX] Dutch accented narrator's voice.

"Why do you all talk that way?"
    [/FX]

    [FX Catford accent]

"Cos weer frun Ca'fud, unt we ai!"
    [/FX]
