That's good. I was getting the same vibes from the Pan's current owner
but I tend to prefer independent opinions.

Oi Tog, I think I'll need to spend a few hours hanging around your
    garage...

Not to mention that the Pan's current owner was far to anoraky to have
put up with a place such as you describe it.

    Compliments indeed.
Could I interest you in a Sprint ST for a good price instead then?

DBC are a nice bunch of lads who know their stuff. Not a big money
dealership and they do specialise in off-roaders, as the name suggests.
I get the impression that when they have to service road bikes they take
their time to get it right.

BTW, remind me not to buy a Pan in future.

I have visions of them delivering the Pan with a nice set of TKC80s [1]
    fitted.

    [1] Continental TKC80 - GS rider's off road tyre of choice [2]
[2] allegedly, as I'm not brave or tall enough to consider riding mine off
    road

That's true, although we just don't have anybody old enough to remember
    them (apart from me).
OTOH, I *have* seen the Honda cars you bought :-/

All joking apart, perhaps you may have got it right now, it should be
hard to get a PanEuro wrong (I would have thought). All the best with it
    mate.

I missed that bit. I've used DBC many times over the years, and they are
top chaps. By far the best bike shop around here anyway.

Given the state of some of the roads I've encountered recently I
wonder if it may indeed be a better choice than Azaro STs...

I noticed that when you first posted about it.

Worth the extra. Everytime. Much better stopping and the TCS is fun.
The brakes are a sod to bleed though. Watch the pads, fronts and rears
    seem to wear out together.

Hrmpf. Yes, but they were also a lot cheaper than the Rover...

Last time I chaged the fluid on mine I followed the instructions in the
Haynes to the letter and used a pressure bleeder and all was well.
Wouldn't like to try and fill the systems from empty though. Trickier
than normal brakes, but OK as long as you go about it logically. You
should be OK at that - it's in your genes.
Every 16,000 miles I change them. Bloody things don't last like they
used to. A proper set of drum brakes on a CZ would last the life of the
    bike...

IIRC the TCS bikes make a very weird noise on tight, uphill hairpins. I
assume they cut power to 2 cylinders or summat?

I've done quite a few tours of the Alps with Pan riders and those with
TCS after an earlier non-TCS bike generally praise the system as they
can just nail the throttle on the exit of a steep, uphill, tight bend
and let the black box do its stuff.
