I'm now the proud owner of a new Hyosung GV650 Classic.

OMG, what have I done!?!? :)

I'll put some up tomorrow after I've picked it up. But you've got to
promise not to laugh. I'm sensitive. ;-)

It's just Korean shit... It'll shit itself in a month... I'll be
    sorry...

They said that about Japanese stuff in the seventies. They said that
about our Chinese front-loading washing amchine when we bought it. A
Retravision guy said "it won't last six months." That was nine
faultless years ago... Still going strong... But I digress...

Getting aback to the bike topic, I really will need to adjust to the
cruiser's riding position. During the test ride I found it very
    strange indeed.

Love the low-ness of the seat though.

Not sure about the footboards or the heel/toe gear changer, or how
easy it is to _not_ find the rear brake pedal in a hurry...

If you can't find the pedal in a hurry, it'll make you think more about
what you're going to do with your foot when it does find the pedal, and
you'll probably be less likely to just stomp on it and more likely to
apply it with a bit more care.

Yep, I had that experience on the test ride. I was thinking that if I
had trouble locating the pedal, I might have lost valuable time, and
then, over-reacting, stomp on the pedal.

That's my fear at the moment. I noticed during th ride that I kept
re-positioning my right foot to make sure it was right near the pedal.
With the footboard it is easy for your foot to wander well away from
    the pedal.

I'll get the hang of it... I mean, Harley riders can get the hang
of it, so how hard can it be? ;-)

Welcome to the Korean family, you'll find they're much more fun than the
    Japanese. :)

how much do you trust the claim ?

    You're a shit stirring bastard, Deevo. :)

I love elements of both the Japanese and the Korean cultures.

I used to know a guy from Geraldton when I was in the army, last
century. His name was Steve Fitzgerald. Say hello to him from me if
    you know him. ;-)

    Well, THANK you, Cam. :)

I'm now going through a phase of thinking "What have I done? A
cruiser? I'm mad! I'll grow out of it in no time flat! I'm an idiot!
And why did I buy a new one? I'll lose a bundle the moment I ride it
away from the bike shop (at noon today) ?" etc. etc.

    See, I don't only abuse others... I'm quite even-handed. :)

Looks like a goood day, I think I'll ride home via
Kurrajong/Bell/MtVic/Katoomba. Scrub the tyres in. Take lots of
pics along the way to shove it right up wtf77.
