I've Converted The Missus ;)

True, true; the concept of letting a vehicle out on the public highways
that couldn't remain upright without constant input from the rider would
be frowned upon. I can see they'd be dangerous smelly things and ridden
by an unhealthily rebellious element in society.
With no inherent charm to redeem them either.

My experience of some motorcycles is the fuckers stay upright when
    they're pissing off down M23...

There isn't any practical difference, in my case it's just pure preference.
I don't get the same enjoyment out of driving a car as I do when riding the
    trike.
I suppose in a way it is. A lot of folks, myself included, frown upon cars
when they turn up at a bikes/trikes only event - even more so when the
drivers of said cars get out dressing in full 'rufty tufty' biker gear.
I'm in no way anti-car, it's just that I'd much rather have my trike or bike
    anytime.
I have to agree. You can't filter, you still get wet, you can't carry four
mates back from the pub, fuel economy is as bad as, if not worse than most
cars, and the things are a pain when it comes to finding a MOT station.
I'm lucky in as much as I have both bikes and trikes to choose from, but if
someone said it's either the bike or the trike . . . .I'd be stuck for which
    one to lose.

    I guess it's a trike thing ;-)

    Yep - that's the idea.

If one fails, the other takes over :)

  8. That's another thing. Any vehicle that has a propensity to dump its
rider over some Armco and want to **** off on its own must be curtailed.

Well I get it now that it's been reduced to the brass tacks. It's a
image/culture/cult thing. I did suffer from same, not taking a car
licence until I was 26 and work demanded.

Recent experience of some of them shows a marked propensity to turn
upside down and rest on their hendlebars...
