Here's a link I found to a US brochure shot of my first bike wot I had back
    in '85:

    http://www.geocities.com/mb5racer/images/mb5bro4.jpg

Point 1: "A low slung, large capacity fuel tank lowers the center[it is
'merkin] of gravity and improves mass centralisation"

    .............................

So my early 80s heap of shit Honda MB5 was, in ad speak, closer to a RCV211V
than my current Daytona955i...? Bugger. :)

"Pah"? I doubt *that* could claim to have 'mass centralisation'. Or any of
the other bollocks the septics claimed for my (very shite, very slow)
MB5.... At least the MB had a *proper* two-stroke engine... :)[/QUOTE]

The MB-5 didn't have a proper 2-stroke engine. The MB had an engine that
wouldn't redline in neutral, I know cos I tried with my mate's brand new
    one.

but but.. if he had a 50cc in 1985 and I had a 100cc that means I'm older.

Now I feel old. Moped in 1979. By '85 I had had a litre bike for some
    time.

    <thinks>

I didn't actually have a bike at all, having just got shot of the
road-converted, then terminally seized, XT500 :-( Was another three or
four years before I was back on two wheels.

It's different when it's your bike or car that's been pinched.
