I got the impression from him that he had put his hand up for the chance to
get sand in his underweasels. But yes he's in Iraq at the mo.

    Cheers,
    Dale.

I think like most people with guns in Iraq it's money motivated.

He's doing an office job well inside the green zone, and yes the money
    is excellent.

I'd get the hell out of there.. The Yanks are building the worlds
biggest target in the green zone. A 104 acre embassy complex which is
costing $US500,000,000, being built by non-iraqi contract workers. So
much for rebuilding the country. The average iraqi house only has the
power on for 4 hours per day, if they have it at all. Good to see the
coalition spending their money rebuilding the infrastructure which they
bombed the **** out of. An estimated 25% of all money which has been
allocated for rebuilding projects is paid to money-hungry gun-slinging
private contractors... and they wonder why the locals keep taking
potshots at them all. The US military should hit the 4,000 fatality
mark before the end of this year. Mission accomplished indeed.

it's an army job as he is involved in logistics.
    I think he'll be fine
    I hope he will.
I agree with Nev's sentiments on all this.
Bob Brown put it into perspective
    loosely quoted hesaid this.
"rudd 3 years ago went to a strip club.
    howard invaded Iraq"

He's probably started to sell kevlar T-shirts with "Innocent Bystander"
printed on the front and back.

BVR has wanted to go to Iraq for the last couple of years...

I don't fell so guilty in not ringing him in the couple months
    now...but still feel guilty

hope he comes back in one piece so we can continue ripping him to
    pieces :)
