Is that a compass on the left hand dash?
Health and Safety might be wanting a word too....

Of course. An electronic one. The sensor is in the front mudguard. With
the adjustment for local magnetic North, naturally.
    FERITE.

Was it standard with the bike?

If so, what a fantastically pointless motorcycle - well done on Kawasaki,
though I would love to see the design briefs and how they convinced someone
    to make it :)

Dodger's theory is that it was designed by someone who had heard a
GoldWing described over the telephone. I like that.

Bloody hell, that's got more bells and whistles than your
    local hanky-waving meetings I reckon!

Does this mean I'll be getting my stuff before the first
race in 2 weeks time? ;-)

Antony, you may have formed the impression that I've been avoiding you.
If you have, let me assure you that it's because I have.

However, after another evening's fettling in Ye Olde Workshoppe, I can
offer you a fairly positive tentative maybe. Probably.

I'm not going to have time to do the CNC thing, but I'll hack you some
ugly-but-servicable ones out by hand this weekend. Almost certainly.

BTW, muttering "useless lazy ****" under your breath really isn't
    helpful.

Superb. That's all I really wanted anyway as I don't have access
to a pillar drill nor a lathe otherwise I'd have done it myself,
and didn't fancy the prospect of hacksawing through 6mm plate.

The bike is now back together and it actually turns over. The
battery was too weak to do it more than half a dozen times, so
that's currently on the Optimate to give it some juice. I've
been advised to run it on the starter for a minute to get the
oil around the engine before firing it up.

In fact, I was on such a roll last night that I even managed to
fill and bleed the brake system successfully! It's amazing what
you can do when you actually read the manual and follow the
    instructions...

    Next up is fairing bodging.
    Chocolate?

    Why ?

didn't you start the wiring before the end of december (and built around
    it) ?
