Not a bad pile this year with plenty of stuff to amuse me over the
    holiday.

The Nintendo Wii was a xmas present even though I had the use of it
ages ago but apart from that I got Mariokart for the Wii, TT
Superbikes Legends and TT Superbikes real road racing championship for
the Playstation, a Jackass game for the Nintendo DS along with a brain
training game for the same. I even got a replacement DS from Adie
because she stole mine months ago.

After the electronic toys there was a pair of cold killer gloves and
socks, beer, chocolate, book, iTunes card and some cash which went
    towards a new TV.

Mariokart is ace (even though my stupid daughter can't stop bragging
about how she's better than me) and I'll post a review of the
superbikes games when I've played them while the soaps are being
watched in the living room. Everything else can wait because I'm a big
kid and intend to drink beer and waste hours away pretending I can
    race motorbikes.

My sprogs got a Wii with this amongst other things... is it just me that
thinks the Wii is pretty shit graphically?

I don't mean the actual graphics themselves, I mean as in how grainy it all
    looks.

A holiday to Krakow in May from the GF.
You went there this time last year didnt you?
We are not doing the Camps, it'll be a holiday, not a depression
    journey.

Anything that shoudlnt be missed? She says the salt mine excavations are
    a must.

I suppose it depends on how you connect the Wii to your tv but it
    seems ok to me.

Through a scart socket with the RGB lead that came with it.

Just seems really poor quality to me compared to our 360 hooked up to the
same TV, and yes, I appreciate that has better graphics in themselves, but
as I say above, the Wii stuff seems really grainy.

Will get a HDMI lead tomorrow and see if that does the trick. :)

If you haven't booked the hotel the try to make sure you stop inside
the old city walls but from then on just walk out of the door and
wander around. We loved it and have both said we'll go back.

The main square is good with plenty of bars and restaurants to waste
time in, the cathedral up on the hill is worth a visit but you'll need
to allow a couple of hours if you want to see everything.

We didn't do the salt mines but I suspect we will do if and when we
ever get back there because they're supposed to be very good. I think
we have a book lying around somewhere and if you drop either of us an
email you're welcome to borrow it. The spam trap is really obvious in
that you just use either of our names instead of spam.

Tons of stuff. The Beta cab obviously. The entire Red Dwarf on DVD, a
leather document folder, lots of smellies, some really decent scotch,
some coffee (and a rather amusing coffee plant).

Already done in a bottle of bolly, now having a quick beer, and then
turning the turkey ready for basting.

Give me your MarioKart Wii ID and I'll challenge you to a few online
    games when I get home.

TTSRRRC is exactly like the first one but with a couple of extra tracks.
And the old cheats don't work. Bummer.

We're not doing the opening thing til after lunch (and I've only just
woken up) but I know there's a Wii Fit thing under the tree because I
bought it for myself. Fucked if I'm going to use it for exercise but
some of the games using the wobble board look fun.

It'll have to be when we get back from our holiday but after that I'll
    get it sorted.
The extra tracks will make it worthwhile. I hope.
I completely forgot to get a proper lead for the Wii but I'll try to
remember when I'm browsing Gatwick duty free on Saturday morning. I
might get a board for it at some point but **** knows when.

    Not too shabby here.

A bench grinder, and a Stig driven Atom remote control car, rechargeable
LED torch, money and the usual smellies.

    Selection of cash and cheques.

    Autoglym car cleaning kit.

    That's about it.

There again, I didn't drop any hints to anyone - so wasn't surprised to
mostly get cards with cash and cheques.

I need to find somewhere with the Wii Fit in stock and a snowboarding
    game.
