  10. Knob, you put a _reserve_ on it.

Nothing scares people away like a reserve price!

    Good man!
I'd almost forgotten about gNat's DR250 (which has been on loan to a mate
    for a year).
    I've got a tractor now. (Boring Middle-aged Wanker R1100GS)

(Ahhh; you're not the Phil who sold me my Triumph Sprint are you?
[actually it was JC but he worked for Phil]
....and the Phil who I went on a Brisbane-River boat-cruise with about 1987
    and got crook-as-a-chook on chicken-and-champagne?)

No phil from back in '84 ...remember the Les Girls dancing troop that
performed at the Filthy Flick Emporium on Brunswick ...jesus H christ you
were blind that night. Shit i walked like a coyboy for weeks.

A bloke i know had the same bike & it went to auction ...'99 red for
$7K...it had been for a little swim. Well when i say little, the mirrors
were sticking out. It got sold at auction in brisvegas & as the new owner
was walking around it very proud indeed, someone showed him the water in
    the headlight.
