Early morning, pulled up at a set of lights in town today, smart young woman
in a a Mercedes SLK pulls up alongside. Lights go green I set of smartly on
the bike she gives it a bit of stick and we're soon doing 85 in a 40 limit
so I backed of and let her pass. Question is did I wimp out too soon?

 

She shouldn't have been able to keep up with you to even 60, let alone
85. Your bike ain't stunning but it's faster than an SLK.

by demonstrating the enormous power between your legs.

To be honest I hadn't realised she was up for it at first or I'd have given
it a lot more earlier on.

How did you manage to leave her behind after you'd let her pass you?

It's London - you can't do 85 for long, a set of red traffic lights
intervened and anyway I let her pass me because I didn't want me or her to
be doing a 100 in a 40 limit. It wasn't one of those "red mist" moments (or
at least not on my part) I was just surprised she was so keen to get by.
Perhaps she'd clocked my rugged manly face and wanted another look <checks
in mirror> no that's not it. <sigh>
