....slipper clutches fooking rock. Despite being considerably lighter
in the wallet I is one happy man.

Good innit. I got one second hand through the Ducati
club for 300 sheets - proper alu ramp & bearing job with
    good plates too.

Not one lock-up on the Cadwell trackday, but the
real test will be Snetterton in 3 weeks time as I
was backing it into both left-handers there last
    time out!

STM. Basically you've got the choice between Sigma which are cheaper
and OK but don't last too long or the STM which I brought for £740
(ouch!) which is used from club to MotoGP so they must be doing
    something right.

Fitted by Rhencullen and setup on their dyno in half a day.
Apparently it needed no adjustment at all from the "standard" fitting.
It just replaces the clutch centre but keeps the stock basket and
    plates. Works a treat )

The Rhencullen guy did insist my Power Commander was knackered though
based on the light switch throttle response but I was sure it was the
dreaded TPS problem again. He reckoned it ran fine when he
disconnected the PC but I still wasn't convinced. Got it home, took
the TPS off and sure enough it was sticking like a sticky thing to
sticky glue. New one in and it went great today at Mallory.

Only new plates, but then I think all the BSB teams replace the plates
after each race anyway. I was a bit worried about how long plates
would last as they're getting a much harder time now but most people
I've spoken to reckon you'll get a full season out of new plates no
problem. But then most club bikes aren't kicking out 195+ like the
    BSB boys.
They can be adjusted but they set it up as per the instructions then
adjust it from there if required. Mine needed no additional
adjustment and apparently they hardly ever do.
Have you tried just dumping the clutch when changing down? Not sure
if yours would be the same but you have to dump the clutch in order
for mine to work correctly. You can actually feel it "clicking" at
    the lever.

The STM was originally developed for the Ducati.

I couldn't decide if it was the IAM, or if Ant had grown a ponytail
and bought a long black leather coat.

And, conveniently, it doesn't get you a death threat, this time.

STM and Bucci are the ones to go for. Everything else seems to
be a copy of the cheaper end of the market. The STM Evos with
the single central spring are really good quality items and work
    very well, but just pricey.
Nice. I've got an all alu setup for mine - basket, centre and
plates too. Plus its the pukka ramp and bearing model with
titanium posts. The weight difference is amazing compared to
the stock clutch, it really feels like half the weight. It uses
the standard 12 tooth basket and plates though, so I'm tempted to
replace it with the STM evo on a 48 tooth basket to help reduce
the wear on the basket. Using alu plates keeps that down to a
    minimum though.
