It's just a piece of paper

    Hmm. It would appear that the dealer forgot to MOT the Busa. Lucky I didn't
    get pulled on my way home last night. So much for the peace of mind buying
    from a dealer. Yeah I know I didn't check the history file properly, but I've
    never bought a bike from a dealer before and thought they'd do it as a matter
    of fucking course.

    So I'm going to get it MOT'd near here, no way I'm going back to Peterborough
    for that. I will expect the dealer to give me an MOT-sized refund, but is
    there anything else I should do - I'm a bit worried that I might have been
    spotted by ANPR on my way home.

    I don't suppose there's any way to get tax on Good Friday, bah humbug etc.

    Online, but you can't get tax with no MOT anyway.

    And you can't get tax online if you don't have the full V5 with your details
    on - I only have the green bit.

    Don't have it but the same applies. They are quite clear that if you don't
    have the full V5, don't apply for tax online as the disc will get sent to the
    previous registered owner.
    Not sure, have a trip to Wigan, wherever that is.

    Just waiting for the dealer to call me back with an excuse regarding the MOT.
    I've been on www.motinfo.gov.uk and it definitely hasn't been done.
