THe first try didnt work, the bod doing the 2nd try was... relaxed about
    it :)

However, it's supposedly done now, but in the mean time I've been
convinced to do more cosmetics and bodywork. WHich is about 1/3 done.

A few weeks ago, I was channel surfing in my hotel room in Malaysia and came
across some mad bastards racing what we'd call scooters. They had the knee
almost down and were fanging it around a short track with basically no
safety features. Every now and then the inevitable off would happen - no
caution flags would be put out - and they'd unceremoniously pick up the
banged up rider (mostly unconscious) and lift him over the barrier, perhaps
    never to be seen again!

This would have been fairly amusing if not for the possible nature of
injuries these poor buggers were sustaining. I even saw a full on highside
with the rider hitting the deck before sliding hard into a pole... no
    movement there.

Crazy world - almost as exciting as the Old Road these days!

    Cheers,
    Dave
