Though your brother's bound and gagged
And they've chained him to a chair
Won't you please come to Daytona
    Just to race
In a land that's known as freedom
How can such a thing be fair(Oem dominance)
Won't you plaese come to Daytona
For the help we can bring
We can change the world -
    Re-arrange the world
It's dying - to get better
Nausbaum sit your sad ass down,
    There's nothing for you here
Won't you please come to Daytona
    For a ride
Don't ask Mark to help you
Cause he'll turn the other ear
Won't you please come to Daytona
Or else join the other side
    We can change the world
    Re-arrange the world
It's started - if you believe in justice
It's started - and if you believe in freedom
It's started - let a man race as he will
It's dying - rules and regulations from the OEM'S
    Open up the door
    Somehow racer's must be free
I hope the day comes soon
Won't you please come to Daytona
    Show your face
From the bottom to the ocean
To the mountains of the moon
Won't you please come to Daytona
No one else can take your place
We can change the world -
    Re-arrange the world
    And we're gonna do it!!

Oh yeah, apology's to CSN&Y, but today's words are LANDSLIDE, MANDATE and

    Deal with it...

Typical buttbomb divisiveness aside, blame the networks for not calling
Florida earlier, not the Floridian's you schmuck!
You can't even watch an election right, yer boi Mclame was done when
Ohio went our way. The west coast block was always a given, but Barack
needed one of either Ohio, Virginia, or Florida, as it turns out it
looks like he got them all...

As hard as it has been to get to this point the real work lies ahead,
though last night was something very special and worth remembering to
    our grandchildren..

Personally, I can't imagine anyone wanting that job, especially after 8
    years of W...

It was actually Lewis Hamilton who swung the election. Since a Brit has
won the Formula One[1] championship in all the recent times that a
Democrat has won their first term.

[1]That well known racing championship run by Europeans for the benefit
of an Italian factory that produces boring processional races.

Ah, but Josh Hayes is an honorary Brit because he raced for the Phase
One endurance team. And Hayden is an honorary Brit because he's now an
underdog. Which just leaves Spies and the jury's out on him. Surely he's
    "somewhat unproven"[1]?? ;)

[1]That seems a long time ago now. Hard to believe I watched Bayliss in
that Philip Island 250GP race and now he's gone.

At least we can agree on that, which, when you stop and think about it,
is almost as remarkable as the election!
Among the fascinating things last night was that the so-called I-4
corridor(Tampa-Orlando-Daytona) went almost totally blue, the most
surprising of all was Osceola County, apparently that late night rally
in Kissimmee with big Bill did the deal..
Oh stop it, your boi lost, move on.. (heh, moveon.org)
So, when are you moving? I hear the housing market in Alabama and
    Mississippi is pretty good.. ;-D

Bullshit aside, I think after what, 20 years? The younger generation
finally 'rocked' the vote, though I was disheartened that both Prop 8
in Ca. and amendment 2 in Fl. passed, obviously our work isn't
    finished...

And very likely North Carolina too!!

Just think, come January, for the first time in 40 years, or so, there
won't be a Dole, or a Bush in office in this country! Hoofuckinraaay!
Now if we can only put a couple of 'um in prison where they belong!
    Sounds good to me!
    Hmm, I dunno 'bout that...

I know some pretty hardcore cracker's and some of them claimed they
voted for Barack, whether they did or not only they know, but almost to
a man they said they'd of never voted for Hillary under any
circumstance, go figure. Here in Florida, college kids, Hispanic's and
Blacks swung the state away from the thumpers and scared old folks and
that's noted when looking at how the county's went, every one with a
university went blue big-time. The big surprise to me was Osceola, aka
"redneck central" but it has a significant 'Rican population in the
Disney area and evidently they voted Dem as a block..
As far as any redo, be it Gore, Edwards, or Hilary I think they all
would've brought more baggage rather than change and change is what I
believe people voted for. Change is a very subjective term, but to me
means someone who will tell it like it is and not be afraid of some
polarizing group, or PAC with an agenda beyond what is good for the
nation as a whole, whether that's Obama, or not, only time will tell. I
hope he is, but he's a politician and it been my experience those guys
are always busy either kissing baby's, or stealing their lollipops,
though lately some of 'um have have shown they can multi-task..
One things for certain, we, as a nation, have allowed a huge shit
sandwich to be built and everyone is going to have to take a bite and
while I pray some dine more extensively than others, that remains to be
seen. Another issue I'll be looking at very closely is whether this new
administration will give back the liberty's that have been taken in the
name of "security." It's one thing to rail against the Patriot Act,
Gitmo, phone/web snooping, and the like while on the campaign trail,
quite another to actually do something about it once you have that
power. So, it'll be interesting to see how far Obama will go to give
them back. Myself? I'm not counting on it even though I hope I'm
    surprised..
East Texas? Holy fuk! I dunno Mark, I'm thinkin' that might be too big
a jump from the Berkeley area, though if you do she should never, under
any circumstances, question your commitment! Alaska is a place to visit
(in the summer) as I'm sure I could never go that far north
permanently, but that's just me, if I want it cold and dark I'll just
turn down the thermostat and pull down the shades..
All that horseshit I roll into pandering to a crowd that loves to be
manipulated. Personally, I don't hold it against anyone if they chose
to pray to a supernatural being and wrap their lives around a 2000 year
old book, I don't understand it, but whatever lift's your skirt, just
don't try to push it on me. What consenting adults do, or don't do is
their business and no one else's. Heh, trust me, I've got enough probs
of my own without worrying about Joe Blow's down the street!
What happened out there to that proposal to de-criminalize drug
possession and put non-violent user's in treatment instead of prison? I
saw an illuminating link on reddit the other day about who was against
it, cops, lawyers, booze dealers and prison guards, is that fucked up,
or what? Prison guards? Job security is one thing, but that's a
"little" over the top, doncha' think?

Btw, consider this a peace pipe, take a toke if you're so inclined, if
    not, oh well..

Anyway, it's finally cleared up, so, I'm gonna try to fire up the Evo
    and take a cruz, later...

  13. We'll know the East Texas thing is serious if you start spouting info about
    Ty Howard and Oak Hill.
