    Take heart from the fact that these little buzzboxes tend to get caned
    from the word go and the damage more than likely was already there, just
    waiting to wreck the engine with you on it.

    Previous owners are cunts.

    I fixed a similar hole (CB 750 sohc, broken final drive chain, large hole
    in crankcase) with aluminium sheet and a lot of bathroom sealer.

    Worked too.

    It looks like someone didn't torque the big end bolts up correctly?
