It's been "emotional"

  1. Friday: Go for final run on RD before Mallory, finish off running in and
go for long flat out blast. Have a suspected head gasket failure on M6
(coolant being pressurised out of the header tank), limped home with
temp gauge rather high. Top up coolant, but unable to replicate failure,
hope it was one off due to high temperatures and Fowlers shut by now
    anyway.

Saturday: Take off cam cover on Turbo to cure weep from front of gasket.
Snap cam cover bolt. Look at Turbo in despair and contemplate ebay.

Sunday: Ignore bikes. Watch MotoGP in frustration on behalf of Rossi.

Monday: Commute on RD, thrash it, get covered in coolant. Get to work,
can't decide if bike is running iffy, possible new flat spot at about
4.5k. Order head gasket from Fowlers, should be here tomorrow.

Monday lunchtime: Go to start RD, choke falls off, well that explains
the flat spot, but at least it starts and should get me home.

Well, Mallory could be interesting. If RD is good to go I'll be on the
track, if not I'll hopefully have the Turbo roadworthy, so I'll turn up
    and spectate.

I'm rather hoping he doesn't use either of them, & if he does, I hope
he's not in the same group as me!

You haven't heard what I'm riding yet. It will remain a secret until the
    morning of the trackday.

  5. Hrrm, well - apart from the death weave at 80+, the erratic nature of
the front forks, and a 15 year old back tyre, I can't think of any good
    reason.
