I'm sure everyone but me already knows and i will forthwith be given a reet
slaggin, but i don't give shit...

    It's back...

Also note a neat ickle 250 aircooled single that puts out less poke than an
early CB250RS (that won't sell because they'll insist on selling for more
than the GS500) and a completely bok 125 4-stroke and an uglified and
"sportified" update for the CB500 (equals increased purchase and running
    costs)

Just thought you'd like to know...

CB500 with ABS as an option - I think that's quite a clever move - makes
quite a lot of sense for a commuter bike.

I notice that the Varadero has it as well now. IMHO this bike should of had
it as an option from launch.

Depends on how easy it is to maintain and how well it crashes.
Not banned in cars, so don't see why it would be banned for bikes.
    Ugly I'm guessing.

I think Stritchey mentioned they have a plan to have ABS and CBS
available/standard on *all* their bikes by 2006.

How popular will it be with riding schools?, no more failure on the test
due to locking up during the emergency stop, or are ABS systems banned?

I do like the update they've done to the CG[1], that 250 looks OK, and BTW,
    what does bok mean?

    Makes sign of holy pushrods.

The CG's just another bland little commuter bike which is well past its
    sell by date

With electric start and an OHV engine!. It's had its day though as
commuters are mostly buying scooters and its only purpose is as a training
    bike for the CBT.

What's the point of the new 600 commuter though? If they're keeping the
    hornet *and* having that...?

    because they can?

The CBF500 and the CBF600 look almost identical apart from the engine,
so I imagine it's not that much hassle for them to offer it.

They're aimed at different markets, really.

I really don't know. How many GT550's and 600 diversions have been sold
over the last couple of years. Not many I would have thought and they don't
have scoots as a direct competitor.

Thinking about it, it vastly increases the range of tyres available though.

Well I didn't know, so I for one say "Ta!".

CBF600, eh? So /that's/ the new bike they've been talking about but not
being specific over whenever Suze has had chats with our friends at
    Honda...
Hmm...I /know/ it's not what she or I were hoping for...

No, it's not, is it? It is, undoubtedly, a very clever and capable
motorcycle, but "stunning"? No way. There's not been a "stunning"
    motorcycle for some while, now.

In fact, I can't think of the last motorcycle I'd have used that
particular transient verb to describe; maybe the MV Agusta F4 or the
Mondiale Piega, but personally, I'd have used "gorgeous".

The last mainstream motorcycle that made me say "Wow! Want!" was the R1 in
    '98.

bollocks, unless you mean a "stunning" *production* motorcycle.

Both the Aprilia Blue Marlin and the Suzuki Boost King were fairly
fucking "stunning", IMO, but sadly neither made it to production.
