On behalf of all the iPhone and Pokemen enthusiasts I thought I would
announce that summer is officially here.

The annual removal of my Hein Gericke jacket's thermal liner ceremony
    took place yesterday.

    It's not summer until Champ removes the thermal lining from his jacket;
    sometime around mid-August, I'd expect...

    Ah.

Further down sarf, past the Pyrenees, what I noticed are women showing more
    interbreast skin. Which is hard.

I prefer to drive in the height of summer than ride. My car has
    aircon.

    As am I

I did, however, venture out on Tuesday sans heated bits.
Tried again yesterday, but the bloody zip broke *again*.

May I say that vented jackets, trousers and gloves rock even with our Dago
    near African summer temperatures?
This is a must have here, better a climate unit which continually adjusts
    aircon or heating.

This obviously only applies to commuting though. I just have an
aversion to turning up at work in a sweaty mess. Pretty sure my
    workmates do as well.

Sheesh I think I've only used the liner in mine a few times.

Trouser liners stayed in until France, mind.

Removed the thermal liners for the trousers last Friday in an
unaccustomed mood of optimism. Worked out okay we had a dry warm weekend.

I'm wearing a skirt, cap sleeve lowish cut top and strappy sandals. I
feel all girlie and what's worse I quite like it.

We have temperature swings of over 40 degrees per day. I wear a mesh
jacket/trousers with liner and in the morning and pull the liners out
    for the ride home.

    What's a "thermal liner"?

Temperature ranges in deserts can be fairly extreme, so I'm guessing
    Celsius.
