  1. No not the snow, spam.

    Gone up by a whole order of magnitude it has.

    Every last one of them seems to have some sort of virus(*ii, *a, *um,
    **** the lot of you) and all of them to proper names rather than
    dont_spam@ or whatever it usually is.

    Weird.

    Is this me finally catching up with the last round or me being early in
    the latest?

    3 new virii appeared yesterday.
    All of them pick names from the address books of the infected machines and
    start sending mails by the bucketload
    MyDoom seems the most prolific of them.

    I just changed from NTL to PlusNet [1], and have suddenly dropped from
    200 spams a day to 4 a week.

    FWIW, my ntl mail accounts were never used for general Internet use at
    all. I use my SpamCop one for that.

    [1] there was no cable here.
