....and have a cup of coffee and relax, before you lose it altogether and
smash the fucking shit out of someone elses Bandit 600 with a lump
    hammer.

Five out of the eight exhaust bolts came out no problem, three have
broken. Two of them are the ones on number 2 cylinder, and the third is
the outermost of number 1 cylinder. The two inner ones have left a 10mm
shank for me to work with, but the one on number 1 cyl is broken flush
    with the head.

I really don't want to take the head off because it just involves even
    more work and added time/expense.

Ho hum, at least I have the skills and tools required to repair it.

Having seen the results of the application of a MAPP gas torch to exhaust
studs, I am now a believer. At the first sign of recalitrant studs I
would suggest application of FOAD amounts of heat.

    Are they studs or bolts?

Studs, first sign of "Hmm, I reckon that'll shear if I apply any more
force" then it's nut splitters, air chisel or simply cut the nut off with
    gas torch.

Unfortunately it's usually more a case of "I wish I hadn't applied any
    more force"

I'd go for the instant gratification option.

Bolts, tried the heat from a blowtorch and molegrips all to no avail.

I've got the two stumps soaking in Plus-Gas at the mo. I'll see what
they're like tomorrow. The other one will have to be drilled.

Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Lozzo
Get her to wiggle her arse in leathers in front of it.

When it gets longer grab the fucker with a pair of grips.

Well, that'll only make Lozzo scream, won't it. What's the plan for the
stud? Or are you trying to take his mind off of it?

    Heat, lots of it.

Lots and lots and lots of heat.

    Then some more.

Then chuck a few gallons of petrol about, then a match; it's the only
    way to be sure.

Right. So that's dealt with Lozzo's hard-on. What are we going to do
    about the bike?

Given some of the things you've posted in the past and the mild nature
of this thread that's a little rich, don't you think?
