    At least thats what it feels like.
    Bleeding since yesterday with two tampons up my nose.
    The doctor may take them out tomorrow and cauterize it.
    So if you have any amusing links which will pass the hospital
    smut filter please post them.
    Life can be exciting with anti-platelet and anticoagulant drugs.

    Hope you don't have the balloon thing they shoved up my Moms nose to stop
    her nose bleed (caused by the drugs she was on as part of her cancer
    treatment).

    Given she had had 5 kids she reckoned it was nothing to the pain of the
    balloon thing experience! Listening to the screams was not one of my more
    pleasant memories.

    I had similar at 20, following a nose/steering wheel interface, having
    already suffered a broken nose on more than one occasion. They
    drilled out the right nostril and attempted to straighten my wonky
    snout, to, as it appears, no avail.

    THe peculiar agony of the wadding extraction will live with me forever
    - it was like they were pulling endless reams of net curtain out of my
    nostril - and it went on for about 20 minutes. They let me calm down
    and came back in a couple of hours to do the other one, for which they
    had to sedate me.

    The removal of the "non-stick" nylon splint, secured with a stitch
    through the septum, was a different sort of agony a couple of days
    later.

    I still can't breathe through by dose very well, due to the bent-ness
    of the right nostril, but I'm fucked if I'm going through that again.

    I keep thinking of having the ol' tubes drilled out. Stories like this keep
    putting might *right* off!

    Me too. I get blocked up regularly which is attributed to this type of
    thing.

    I'll suffer, as it sounds far better than those who've had it done's
    experiences!

    It wasn't that bad. The inflatable tampons going up the nose was briefly
    painful.
    Removal wasn't a problem. It was the two-day headache in between that
    was the real nuisance. I wonder how long it will be until the next episode.
