He didn't, actually. I was spending the night at the Porter's Lodge,
and we were online, so I sent a mischievous posting to ukrm from
Bruce's machine. I think the header was "Popped round to see Timmy" or
similar, and the message body was "But he was out..."

He thought Bruce had indeed been knocking on his door, and went
utterly fucking postal.

A google shows that 'our' Timmy was spelled Crooke. Shame.

 

His parents, assuming he hasn't offed them, are doubtless breathing a
sigh of relief.
