Is this a pisstake?

    ISTR they're still pretty much unbeatable in a straight line.

    Looking at the MCN web stats (which are probably wrong) I'd say that whilst
    it's a very small number, the modern 600's are all faster then the ZZR.

    0.3 of a second on a standing quarter mile and a bit more difference in top
    speed.

    So "on a par" but not "pretty much unbeatable".

    OK - the very latest 600s might now have gained an edge - but the ZZR6
    was the undisputed straight-line king of the 600s until a couple of
    years ago.

    So that's what 13 years development gets you then?

    Add to it. I'd assume, a tuned engine...
